Chopda: December 22 is celebrated as National Mathematics Day in India every year. National Mathematics Day is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan.
The main purpose behind celebrating this day is to create interest in mathematics among the students. With this objective in mind, National Mathematics Day was celebrated at PVM English Medium School, Chopda. During the four days from 21st December to 24th December, various activities were conducted in school.
Activities such as making various charts related to Mathematics, counting objects, making and telling Roman numbers from Kulfi sticks, making different shapes of colored paper, measurement using different dimensions, making and telling numbers using 0 to 9 digits were done.
All students enthusiastically participated in these activities. In addition to this, online quizzes were also conducted for the students according to the classes.Thus, the National Mathematics Day was celebrated in P.V.M. English Medium school and all the students had a Happy National Mathematics Day this year.
